Prior Knowledge of DNS RECORDS AND CONCEPTS<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Follow the following steps to connect your Truehost domain to blogger<\/strong><\/p>

  1. Log in to Blogger.com<\/a> and select the blog you would like to connect to your domain.<\/strong>

    <\/p> <\/li>

  2. In the left side menu, click Settings<\/strong>.<\/strong>

    <\/p> <\/li>

  3. Scroll down to the Publishing<\/strong> section and select Setup a 3rd party URL for your blog.<\/strong><\/strong>

    <\/p> <\/li>

  4. Enter your domain name and click Save.<\/strong><\/strong>

    <\/p> <\/li>

  5. You will encounter an error message stating that Blogger has been unable to verify your authority of the domain and two CNAMEs will be displayed.<\/strong>

    <\/p> <\/li>

  6. LOGIN TO your TRUEHOST account<\/strong>

  7. Go to Domains section<\/strong>

    \"\"<\/p> <\/li>

  8. GO TO MY DOMAINS <\/strong>

    \"\"<\/p> <\/li>

  9. LOCATE YOUR DOMAIN<\/strong>

    Locate your domain among the domains and then click on the Active<\/strong> word on the domain row to open the domain settings.\"\"<\/p> <\/li>

  10. CHANGE THE NAMESERVERS THAT YOUR DOMAIN POINTS TO<\/strong>

    You will see CHANGE THE NAMESERVERS YOUR DOMAIN POINTS TO<\/strong> link. Open it up to change the nameservers and change them to:NS1.OLITT.COMNS1.OLITT.NET<\/strong>\"\"<\/p> <\/li>

  11. SAVE THE NAMESERVER CHANGE<\/strong>

    \"\"<\/p> <\/li>

  12. GO TO OLITT.COM<\/a> AND LOGIN<\/strong>

    \"\"<\/p> <\/li>

  13. GO TO DNS MANAGEMENT ON YOUR LEFT SIDE<\/strong>

    \"\"<\/p> <\/li>

  14. ADD YOUR DOMAIN AT THE TOP RIGHT<\/strong>

    \"\"<\/p> <\/li>

  15. Manage your Domain DNS RECORDS after adding it<\/strong>

    \"\"<\/p> <\/li>

  16. ADD THE DNS RECORDS AT THE TOP RIGHT<\/strong>

    \"\"<\/p> <\/li>

  17. <\/strong>

    \"\"<\/p> <\/li>

  18. ENTER THE WWW SUBDOMAIN AT THE NAME SECTION AND THE CHOOSE THE TYPE AS CNAME<\/strong>

    Then enter the google record as the target domain\"\"<\/p> <\/li>

  19. Repeat this process for the second subdomain (g03fbxe2qka8.example.com in our example) and enter the information from the second Destination, Target or Points To<\/strong> field in the Target domain section.<\/strong>

    The second CNAME record will always be unique. For example, it could be something similar to gv-wdndvx9shm8xm1.dv.googlehosted.com<\/strong>.<\/p> <\/li>

  20. Setting the IP Address<\/strong><\/strong>

    If you are using a www<\/strong> subdomain for your Blogger site, you will also need to set an IP address to point your root domain (such as example.com) to Google’s servers.<\/p> <\/li>

  21. (OPTIONAL AND SAFER)After saving your second CNAME record, you will be returned to the type section and choose A record<\/strong><\/strong>

    Here you will add the @ symbol at the name section and then add the following IP addresses to the Target domain section. ONE AT A TIME<\/strong>.216.239.32.21216.239.34.21216.239.36.21216.239.38.21<\/p> <\/li><\/ol><\/div>\n\n\n\n

    Alternatively, it is possible to redirect visitors from non-www to www version of your blog, that way the A records would not be required. It can be done after your domain settings are saved by pressing the Edit<\/strong> button in Blogger Settings<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
